And there's some young people I work with, in their late 20's, who have never seen the first mad max......will they understand? Do they have to to see this? I wonder...

Maybe start them on the Road Warrior first. I think they could just ignore Thunderdome and be none the worse for missing it, though Master/Blaster was awesome. Seeing Mad Max might be good just so they get a feel for his motivation. It was a little difficult for me to wrap my head around Road Warrior being a sequel to Mad Max in all honesty.

Well, from the view that Max snapped and killed everyone in the end and then left home for the wastelands.....then the Road Warrior happened....I can understand that, but without that idea, it made no real sense as a sequel.

Yeah. I guess so. I may have to go back and watch it. If for no other reason than just for the car chases and crashes.

Yeah. Honestly, when I saw it again not long ago, it was in the Australian original track and the Toe Cutter....man that was some excellent acting. Terrific acting.

Yeah, I'm with you.. Loved Road Warrior (who didn't). But the original Mad Max was kinda... ehhh... whatev's.... And certainly not vital to understanding RW...
But regarding this trailer for this new flick.... I have two words: HOLY FUCKING SHIT, SIGN ME UP!!!!!!!!!!!!

There was acting in that movie? I don't remember that. You must have seen the special director's cut.

How can the toe cutter play not just totally crazy but from an angle you have no idea where hes coming from. That's good acting! :) And see it in the aussie sound track. the voices are real and the effect sounds are better. Especially the supercharger...its just mroe real. and that's what we could have called the movie. Mad Max: Whine of a wiend

I do love the sound of a good supercharger!

I get that I'm going to come off as a picky bastard for saying this.
But I can't get over the fact that it looks so CLEAN . For a post apocalyptic world it sure looks like they bathe a lot and have access to hair stylists. And laundry machines.

Priorities sir. The post apocalypse with be very stylish.

I share the same sentiments about the first movie.
Did you know that this character is played by the same guy who played Toecutter? I thought he was going to be a fairly minor character, but this trailer made him out to be the main bad guy.
am excite

yeah i heard that! I so hope it's a different character instead of the toe cutter in the Batman evil guy mask.

That hadn't even cross my mind! Has me wondering, that if Toecutter survived and this is the same continuity, who is Max?
